Copy a Flowchart to Word or PowerPoint

The flowchart symbols and other shapes used by FlowBreeze are Microsoft Office Autoshapes. Because the Autoshapes are native to Microsoft Office, you can copy and paste these directly into Office 2000 - 2003 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher. In Office 2007 and 2010, it will paste as a picture only.

How to Copy and Paste

1. To select the entire flowchart, in click the Select All button from the toolbar.

2. Use the regular Excel copy function (via the toolbar, ribbon, or Edit menu).

3. Open up the target file, and paste the flowchart. For example, in Word 2000-2003, the flowchart will paste as an editable shape.

A Note on Word and Styles

Applies to Word 2000-2003 only

Word will change the font in the flowchart symbols to whatever the Normal style is. To change the font in the flowchart shapes you will need to create a new Style and apply it to all the shapes in the flowchart. You will need to refer to your Word help files for documentation on how to create and apply Styles.
Also, Word does not support vertical text alignment within shapes. All text will be aligned to the top of the symbol, and there is no way to change this.
