Main Ribbon
In Excel 2007, FlowBreeze features can be accessed via the "FlowBreeze" tab on the ribbon. The features appearing in the FlowBreeze tab map directly to those discussed in the Excel 2000-2003 toolbar section of the help file. The differences are as follows:
Toggle Toolbars: This feature is not in the ribbon. It is only on the Excel 2000-2003 toolbar, but has been replaced by the Shapes drop down gallery in Excel 2007.
Select All: Excel 2007 provides a handy tool to select all the shapes on a sheet in a single click.
Layout: Many alignment, grouping, rotation, and order (bring to front / send to back) functions are available via this drop down menu.
Quick Styles: A drop down gallery of the built-in themed styles available for shapes has been added.
Format Painter: A tool to copy the format from one shape to another. To use, first select the shape with the style that you want to copy, click the Format painter button, then click the target shape.
[The Flowchart Wizard, Export as Picture, Style Wizard, and Apply Styles features are not available in the Basic Edition.]
Using Built-In Excel Formatting Tools
When you select different items (ranges, charts, shapes, etc.) the Excel 2007 Ribbon will automatically switch tabs in anticipation of what you want to do next. As a result, when you are using FlowBreeze, Excel will sometimes switch away from the FlowBreeze tab and to a another tab on the ribbon. By default, when you click on a flowchart symbol or other shape, the Format tab is selected. It contains many features for applying styles to the shapes. However, since Excel doesn't always switch to the Format tab, the most important features from the Format tab are replicated in the FlowBreeze tab for convenience.
