Excel 2007 - 2010 Ribbon
FlowBreeze Ribbon
In Excel 2007 and 2010, FlowBreeze features can be accessed via the "FlowBreeze" tab on the ribbon.

The following is a breakdown of the main FlowBreeze ribbon sections.
- Start: Starts an interactive flowcharting session.
- Stop: Stops the interactive flowcharting session. This toolbar button is normally grayed out. It only becomes enabled when you are in interactive flowcharting mode.
- Settings: Opens the Settings windows, allowing you to customize the FlowBreeze flowchart rules and formatting.
- Flowchart Wizard: Scans the worksheet for text and loads it into the Flowchart Wizard. Note: Available in Standard Edition only.
- Transpose column to rows: Converts a vertical columns into horizontal rows for left to right flowcharts.
- Apply parsing syntax: Adds entry ID numbers, connector IDs, and branch label syntax to each entry.
- Create a Template: Loads the Template Generator. Available in Standard Edition only.
- Load a Template: opens a file dialog to select and load the template.
- Group Box: Opens the Insert Group Box tool.
- Branch: Opens the Insert Branch tool.
- Shapes: Gallery of all the available shapes and connectors in Excel.
- Connector: Opens the Insert Connector tool, that allows you to insert a one or more formatted connectors between sets of flowchart symbols.
- Label: Opens the Insert Label / Text Box tool.
- Hyperlink: Opens the Insert Hyperlink window.
- Reroute Connectors: Changes connector routing to the shortest path.
- Format painter: Copies the format from one shape to another. See Change Symbol Styles for more detail.
- Style Gallery: A gallery of built-in shape formatting styles.
- Edit Flowchart: Loads all the Flowchart Editor. Available in Standard Edition only.
- Export as Picture: Allows you to save the flowchart and/or worksheet as a picture. (See Save Flowchart as Picture for more details.) Available in Standard Edition only.
- Default Styles: Applies the default style to all the flowchart symbols and lines. (See Apply Styles for more details). Available in Standard Edition only.
- Symbol Key: Generates a symbol key (shape legend), listing all the symbols used in your flowchart. (See Create a Symbol Key for more details.)
- Extract Text: Iterates through the flowchart symbols, extracting the text and creating a list of the process steps. (See Extract Flowchart Text for more details.)
- Layout drop down:
> Re-Align Shapes: Corrects any slightly jagged connector lines.
> Order: If shapes overlap, you can use the Bring to Front, Send to Back, Bring Forward, and Send Backward. to set how their are layered.
> Align or Distribute: Align or adjust the spacing between multiple shapes.
> Rotate or Flip: Change the orientation of a shape.
- Select Shapes (White Arrow): This is a split button. Clicking it toggles a special mouse cursor that allows you to select shapes. Clicking the drop down reveals the following menu items:
> Selection Tool: Opens the Shape Selection tool.
> Select All: Selects all the shapes on the page.
> Symbols: Selects only the flowchart symbols on the page (i.e., no connectors, no labels, etc.).
> Connectors: Selects only the flow line connectors on the page.
> Labels: Selects only the labels on the page.
- Group drop down
> Group: Creates one shape out of many.
> Ungroup: Splits the grouped shape back into its constituent parts.
> Regroup: If a set of shapes has been grouped then ungrouped, they may be regrouped by selecting a single shape and clicking this function.
> Group All Shapes: In one click it will select all the shapes and group then together into a single object.
> Ungroup All Shapes: In one click it will ungroup any grouped shapes on the sheet.
- Grid drop down:
> Snap to Grid: Snaps the flowchart symbols to the worksheet grid lines.
> Snap to Shape: Snaps a symbol to the edge of another flowchart symbol.
> Create a Grid: Changes the column width to match the row height, creating a grid.
> View Gridlines: Shows or hides the grid lines on the sheet grid lines. (See View Gridlines for more details.)
> Clear Shading: Clears any cell shading on the worksheet.
- Help Contents: This opens a window with links to this help file, the online support page, and an event log viewer..
- Check for Updates: Opens your web browser to the http://www.breezetree.com updates page to check if there is a new version available for download.
- About FlowBreeze drop down:
> Open Walkthrough: Opens the Excel file containing a walkthrough of the major features in FlowBreeze.
> Register: Opens the registration window, allowing you to enter the license key. You can also use this window if you need to check your license information at some later point.
> About: Shows the current version of the software and also displays the registration information
