Insert a Flow Line (Connector)

FlowBreeze automatically adds flow lines when new symbols are generated. But sometimes you may need to close a loop or manually add a flow line. Luckily, there are two easy ways to do this.

Method 1 - Automated

To add a fully formatted flow line, you can just type "FL" (without the quotes) in any cell and the Insert Connector window will open, allowing you to set the From and To symbols and their connection sides. In order to use this method, you must be in flowcharting mode. You can also click Connector from the FlowBreeze toolbar to load this window without having to be in flowcharting mode.

The advantage of this method is that FlowBreeze will apply your preset style to the connector.

Method 2 - Manual

You can also manually add a flow line by clicking Insert > Flow Line in Excel 2000-2003 or via the Shapes gallery in Excel 2007-2010.. The mouse cursor will change to a thin cross hair crosshair. Position it over the first symbol to connect, then hold down the left mouse down and drag the line to the next symbol.

Tip: For more information on flow lines, see the Working with Flow Lines section of the help file.
