Insert Connector

The Insert Connector tool lets you insert a flow line connector between two shapes.

Opening The Insert Connector Tool

This window can be open in two ways:

1. From the FlowBreeze toolbar.

2. By typing "FL" during a flowcharting session.

Usage

Select the Begin Symbol and End Symbol you want to route the connector between. The tool will automatically predict the sides the connector should attach to, but you can override this by clicking the Connection Side for each symbol. If you open this screen from the toolbar, you can preselect the two shapes with the mouse (hold the SHIFT key down while clicking to select multiple shapes). When the screen opens, the left and top-most shape will be selected in the Begin Symbol list and the right or bottom-most shape will be selected in the End Symbol list.

The Quick search field lets you select a symbol by typing in its text. The first matching symbol will be selected as you type.

The Begin Point and End Point sections allow you to set the arrowhead for each end. The Line Style section lets you change the format (Standard Edition only).

Adding Multiple Connectors

To add multiple connectors, select the Begin Symbol and End Symbol and click Add Connector. repeat for each connector you want to add, then click Close when you are done.
