Step 4 - FlowBreeze Prompts

There are times when FlowBreeze will prompt you for information in order to automate as much of the process as possible. This step will cover three common prompts:

The Add Flow Line window.
The Add Label window.

Common Prompts

The first prompt we will look at is the Add Flow Line window. Before we do, enter "op A" in the cell below the Decision symbol. This will generate the bottom branch. Next, move the selection over to a cell on the right side of the Decision and enter "op B" as shown below.

4-a

The first entry - "op A" was aligned with the previous one, so the flow line was added automatically. But when we entered "op B" to the right of the Decision, "op B" wasn't aligned with the last symbol - "Op A". Confused? Well, so is FlowBreeze. But FlowBreeze knows to ask for help, so it will prompt you with the Add Flow Line window shown below. In the window, select the symbol that you want to add the flow line from. Then, select the sides that you want the flow line to attach to - both from the last symbol and to the new symbol.

Once you click Add Connector, FlowBreeze will route a flow line from the selected symbol to the Op B symbol, as shown below. You can also force a flow line prompt using the Flow Line Insertion Tool.

4-c

Note the text "lbl" in cell L21 above. This will trigger the Add label prompt. "LBL" is a special entry that allows you to add a text box anywhere on the diagram. The difference between this labels and a standard text box is that it's automatically formatted with the same font you set for the flowchart symbols and the borders are hidden. When you type "lbl" (or "LBL" - it's not case sensitive), you will be prompted as shown below.

Enter "Fail" in the and click OK. the missing "Fail" label is generated below. A simpler alternative is to enter "LBL:Fail" and FlowBreeze will add the "Fail" label without prompting you.
