Description

The goal for BreezeTree Modulo is to create a Microsoft Word collaboration tool that lets you save and retrieve commonly used content.

Just to clarify - it would not be a traditional document management system. The concept is not to store documents, but instead store "pieces" of documents that can be re-used in other documents.

Target Market

• Law offices that draft standard legal documents consisting of boilerplate sections.
• Technical writers who use boilerplate content in their documentation.
• Manufacturers who have semi-standardized sub-processes for their products, yet the sub-processes aren't involved enough to warrant their own documentation. Hence, instructions are copy/pasted across many assembly instructions.

Message from the Founder

This is a product I've envisioned for years, so I'd love to see it come to fruition. However, with what I hope is a refreshing bit of honestly from a business owner, I have to admit that I don't know whether there is a market for this product.

With Microsoft SharePoint providing centralized storage, workflow, and revision tracking, many companies could easily opt for that. Moreover, the product namespace for "document management" is very crowded (and thus very expensive to advertise via Google and other channels).
