Clear Empty Strings

This tool will clean up cells that have residual empty strings.

Common Use Cases:

  • The Excel function COUNTA() counts the number of cells in a range that aren't empty. Some cells can appear to be empty, but COUNTA() counts them as containing text.
  • If a cell formula result that returned an empty string "" and was converted to a value, the cells would not appear to contain anything but would still be treated as having content. When you sort the range or double-click a cell's edge to navigate to the next empty cell, the result would not behave as expected.
