What information Does BreezeTree Software Collect?
BreezeTree collects two types of information: Personal information you knowingly choose to provide and web site usage information. Each are covered thoroughly below.
Personal Information You Choose to Provide

BreezeTree requires registration occasionally if you sign up to be a Beta Tester for a BreezeTree product. This information may be used to track who is qualified to receive product discounts and giveaways. It will also be used to determine the performance of BreezeTree Software products on various operating systems and with other software, such as Microsoft Office Suite products that BreezeTree Software's products integrate with.

When you make a purchase from BreezeTree, all transactions will be handled by a secure payment processing service. BreezeTree Software uses several different secure on-line payment processing service providers and links to their respective privacy policies will be on the purchase processing pages. The payment processors do no share credit card or other confidential financial information with BreezeTree.

When you purchase a product through one of BreezeTree's secure on-line payment processing partners, you will be asked to provide a valid email address. After completing the purchase process, an email notification will be sent to you providing you with a license key. A copy of the email is also sent to BreezeTree for record keeping. Also, if you send an email to BreezeTree, BreezeTree may retain the content of the email messages together with your email address. Lastly, BreezeTree offers newsletter sign-ups. Web Site Use Information
Cookie Usage
Like many web sites, this site uses "cookies" and web server logs to collect basic info about how this sites is used, including which pages were visited, what what sites referred you to this site, and time spent on our site.
Are Cookies Evil? What Does BreezeTree Do With Them?
No. Cookies don't allow us to gather any personal information about you. All they are is little text files stored on your computer. The only thing that the BreezeTree web site uses them for is to track advertising. If BreezeTree pays for ads on search providers (e.g. Google, Yahoo!, or MSN), a cookie is set. If you buy a product from us, we know the advertising campaign is worth the money spent. If you don't buy a product from us, we know that we just helped make some rich guys even richer. We die a little inside when that happens.
How Else Does BreezeTree Use the Web Site Usage Information?
Cookies, along with our web server's logs, allow BreezeTree to determine the number of people visiting this web site and which pages on the site are popular. This will be used to constantly improve the web site.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
BreezeTree has a strict policy of not sharing or selling any personal information to 3rd parties. However, BreezeTree retains the right to transfer customer purchase data (including name, organization name, email, address, product serial numbers, and purchase date) as well as any recent web site visitor information, since these are common business assets transferred in such transactions.
New Product Announcements and Update Information

Each newsletter will contain a link to opt-out of the subscription.
