Favorites

The Favorites tool lets you save and load favorite Excel objects and formulas.

Display

Favorites loads as a task pane (side panel) and displays two tabbed groups - Excel Objects and Formulas. If you are running Excel 2013 - 2019, please note that the side panel only displays in the workbook that you initially opened the favorites tool in.

Adding Favorite Excel Objects

You can save a workbook, worksheet, range or table to Favorites by clicking the Favorites dropdown on the Spreadspeed ribbon tab and selecting "Add selection to favorites" from the menu. You can also a favorite Excel Object via the favorites task pane. When you are prompted to add the favorite, you can specify which group the favorite belongs to.

Adding Favorite Formulas

If you have a custom formula that you reuse often, you can save it to Favorites by clicking the Favorites dropdown on the Spreadspeed ribbon tab and selecting "Add formula to favorites" from the menu. You can also add a formula and its description via the favorites task pane. The formulas are stored in [R][C], a row - column relative format that makes the formulas more portable.

Excel Objects

This tab lists the bookmarked favorites by group. You can open a favorite by double-clicking the bookmarked item in the or by selecting it and clicking the "Load" button on the Favorites task pane.

Formulas

This tab displays the list of saved formulas. To add a formulas to your worksheet, select the cell where the formula is to be place and click the Insert button on the task pane.
