Step 5 - Stop Flowcharting

FlowBreeze Flowchart Software Top  Previous  Next

As much fun as it is to make flowcharts, eventually you'll want to stop and get on with your life. Two things happen when you stop the flowcharting session. First, you will be prompted to add a stop Terminator symbol. Second, FlowBreeze will no longer generate symbols from your entries, meaning you can go back to using the worksheet for normal Excel activities.

How To Stop Flowcharting

Before you stop flowcharting, it's a good idea to select the cell where you want to place the stop Terminator. FlowBreeze will use this as the default location to place the Terminator symbol. In our example, you will place it beneath the Op A symbol.

To stop the session, click the Stop Flowcharting button on the Excel toolbar:

Two things can happen:

First, if you were working in another area of the flowchart, you will get prompted with the Add Flow Line window. In the previous step of the tutorial, the last shape we created was Op B, so in this case the Add Flow Line prompt will pop up (not shown). The add Flow Line window selects the closest shape as the default, so you can just click OK in this case.

Second, FlowBreeze will display the Add Terminator window, shown below. In this window you can change the text (with the option to make the new text the default for the next time you flowchart), and you can change the cell where the Terminator should be added by clicking the "..." button.

Finally, when you click OK, the Terminator is added and the flowcharting session is completed.
