Sum and Percentages

Given a column of numbers, the Sum and Percentages tool will put the sum at the bottom of the column and calculate the percentage that each cell value contributes to the sum. By default the percentages are output to the column at the right of the values column.

This tool does not sort the data, so you may want to sort the data prior to using this tool rank the percentage or cumulative percentage columns effectively.

Form Fields

  • Input Column: Select the range to perform the sum and percentages on. (This field is preset with the selected range when the form is opened.)
  • Sum cell: The location where the sum of the column will be placed.
  • Percentage column: The location where the percentages will be placed.
  • Add column with cumulative percentages: If checked, it will add a running total of the percentages next to the percentage column.
